About EFT

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is a branch of Energy Psychology which focuses on mind-body energy work. It is sometimes called “Tapping” and is often thought of as an “Emotional version of Acupuncture. ” It works by tapping gently on energy meridians [or pressure points] found on the head and torso of the body.

When we experience stress we automatically go into a primitive mode of survival which bypasses our prefrontal cortex [thinking brain]. “Tapping” on these perceived threats sends a calming signal throughout the body, which then allows us to access rational thinking.

EFT is self-administered and can be used as a tool outside of therapy as an effective way to manage stress, panic, and anxiety.
